This group went into the NARCh tournament with several last minute players dropping off of the team. That didn’t stop them from going 4-0 in the round robin to clinch the number one seed in the Men’s Silver division. They finished first in a field of thirteen teams. They also had the most goals scored and least goals allowed. Scott Reithmeier let in two goals in those four games. The team faced a tough matchup in the semifinals against a younger and faster team. Ultimately losing a very close 2-1 game. That didn’t matter much because they continued to fight and faced a Colombian team in the Bronze medal game. In typical Silver Fox fashion, nothing is easy. They battled to a 4-3 overtime victory to earn Bronze. Scott had three shutouts and allowed only seven goals in six games, earning him Top Goalie in the Silver division. The Silver Fox couldn’t have done it without the fusion of new youth and veteran leadership borrowed from the Monarchs team.
